'Pero a todos los que le recibieron, les dio el derecho de llegar a ser hijos de Dios, es decir, a los que creen en su nombre: que no nacieron de sangre, ni de la voluntad de la carne, ni de la voluntad del hombre, sino de Dios' (Juan 1:12-13).
La regeneración es el trabajo sobrenatural de Dios. A través del renacimiento, al hombre es dado un corazón de carne en lugar de su corazón de piedra. Puesto que el hombre, en su estado natural, nunca puede crear una sociedad que honra a Dios, esta generación de individuos humanos debe preceder la reedificación de la civilización humana. Las instituciones humanas siempre reflejan corazones humanos, y sólo Dios puede cambiar el corazón humano. Sólo la regeneración forjada por el Espíritu Santo en el corazón humano puede producir arrepentimiento y vida recta: 'Por el camino de tus mandamientos correré, porque tú ensancharás mi corazón' (Salmo 119:32).”

Regeneration
"Godly people are not born; they are born again:
'But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God' (John 1:12-13).
Regeneration is the supernatural work of God. Through rebirth man is given a heart of flesh in place of his heart of stone. Since man, in his natural state, can never create a God honoring society, this generation of human individuals must precede the reconstruction of human civilization. Human institutions always reflect human hearts, and God alone can change the human heart. Only the regeneration wrought by the Holy Spirit in the human heart can produce repentance and righteous living: 'I will run in the way of Your commandments, for You shall enlarge my heart' (Psalm 119:32)."
