Los Cinco Puntos de la Reconstrucción Cristiana (English)

   "Yo odiaba la idea en un principio ¿Dios recibe toda la gloria por salvarnos?¿El hombre está totalmente perdido e incapaz de llegar a Dios por él mismo? T.U.L.I.P. es un acrónimo útil para recordar los cinco puntos de la soteriología del calvinismo: Depravación Total, Elección Incondicional, Expiación Limitada, Gracia Irresistible y Perseverancia de los Santos. Esta es la enseñanza bíblica del aplastamiento-del-orgullo acerca de la salvación. Me molestaba. Los hombres se oponen a ser los objetos de la salvación. Queremos ser los sujetos. Queremos ser el verbo. Pero sólo Dios es el Autor de nuestra fe. ¡Punto!
   Aunque una vez una ofensa, T.U.L.I.P. se ha convertido en un gran tesoro para mí. Hablar del 'poder de la flor': ¡Dios salva a los pecadores! Los 'cinco puntos del calvinismo' tienen que ver con la gloria de Dios en la salvación de los hombres. Sin embargo, la teología reformada, centrada en Dios no sólo se refiere al estado eterno del hombre, pero también se ocupa de su existencia terrenal.
    Al principio, me reía de ellos, pensé que sus ideas eran tontas e ingenuamente impracticables. Después leí algunos de sus libros. Durante los últimos veinte años, los reconstruccionistas cristianos han tratado de responder a la pregunta que fue planteada una vez por Francis Schaeffer en el título de su libro, ¿Cómo Debemos Entonces Vivir? R.J. Rushdoony, el fundador de este movimiento teológico, planteó la pregunta de esta manera, con el título de su libro ¿Según Qué Estándar?
   Sí, Dios ha asegurado mi destino eterno, y le alabo por ello. ¿Pero ahora qué? ¿Qué quiere que Su pueblo haga, y qué herramientas se le ha dado para hacerlo? Sólo he empezado a estudiar y aplicar las ideas en más de un centenar de libros escritos por R.J. Rushdoony, Gary North, Greg Bahnsen, Gary DeMar, David Chilton, Kenneth Gentry, y los muchos otros pensadores Reconstruccionistas diversos. Como resultado de ello, estoy empezando a añadir rosas a mi jardín teológico.
   R.O.S.E.S. es un acrónimo útil para recordar los cinco puntos de la sociología del calvinismo. Mientras T.U.L.I.P. revela la soberanía de Dios en la salvación, R.O.S.E.S. revela la soberanía de Dios en la sociedad: Regeneración, Obediencia a las leyes de Dios, Supremacía de la Escritura, Escatología de la Victoria, y Separación de los gobiernos."

The Five Points of Christian Reconstruccion

   "I hated the idea at first. God gets all the glory for saving us? Man is utterly lost and incapable of coming to God by himself? T.U.L.I.P. is a helpful acronym for remembering the five points of Calvinism soteriology: Total Depravity, Unconditional Election, Limited Atonement, Irresistible Grace, and Perseverance of the Saints. This is the pride-crushing biblical teaching about salvation. It bothered me. Men object to being the objects of salvation. We want to be the subjects. We want to be the verb. But God alone is the Author of our faith. Period!
   Though once an offense, T.U.L.I.P. has now become a great treasure to me. Talk about 'flower power': God saves sinners! The 'five points of Calvinism' are concerned with God's glory in the salvation of men. Yet, Reformed, God-centered theology not only addresses man´s eternal state, but is also concerned with his earthly existence as well.
    In the beginning, I laughed at them, I thought their ideas were silly and naively unworkable. Then I read some of their books. During the last twenty years the Christian Reconstructionists have attempted to answer the question once posed by Francis Schaeffer in the title of his book, How Should We Then Live? R.J. Rushdoony, the founder of this theological movement, posed the question this way, with the title of his book By What Standard? 
   Yes, God has secured my eternal destiny, and I praise Him for that. But now what? What does He want His people to do, and what tools has He Given them to do it? I have only begun to study and apply the ideas in more than one hundred books written by R.J. Rushdoony, Gary North, Greg Bahnsen, Gary DeMar, David Chilton, Kenneth Gentry, and the many other diverse Reconstructionist thinkers. As a result, I am beginning to add roses to my theological garden.
   R.O.S.E.S. is a useful acronym for remembering the five points of Calvinism sociology. While T.U.L.I.P. revels God's sovereignty in salvation, R.O.S.E.S. reveals God's sovereignty in society: Regeneration, Obedience to God's laws, Supremacy of Scripture, Eschatology of Victory, and Separation of Governments."
