"¡DEJA IR A MI PUEBLO!" (English)

   "Un anticristo antiguo, el Faraón, ordenó el asesinato de todos los hijos del antiguo Israel, buscando con ello la destrucción del pueblo del pacto de Dios y su propio triunfo. Él era un tirano, y el significado original de tirano es de uno que gobierna sin Dios. Los tiranos y los anticristos están muy presentes con nosotros ahora: ellos gobiernan en la casa de Estado y la Casa Blanca, en los tribunales, y en juntas directivas de la escuela, pero de manera más sutil que el viejo Faraón. Pero de nuevo el objetivo es la destrucción de los hijos del pacto de Dios, esta vez, forzándolos en escuelas humanistas, o por la imposición de controles humanistas, estatistas sobre los colegios y los niños que pertenecen al Señor.
    Y de nuevo la palabra del Señor viene a través de sus siervos fieles a los tiranos de nuestra época: 'Así dice el SEÑOR, Dios de Israel: ¡Deja ir a mi pueblo!' (Ex. 5:1). Nunca es fácil servir al Señor, pero es mucho más difícil no hacerlo, para aquellos que se niegan a obedecer Su voz, se encuentran bajo las plagas de Egipto. 'Salid de ella, pueblo mío, para que no participéis de sus pecados y para que no recibáis de sus plagas' (Apocalipsis 18:4).
   Porque nosotros no somos nuestros, sino que hemos sido comprados con el precio de la sangre de Cristo (I Cor. 6:19f), la elección de que si vamos o no a elaborar un trato o compromiso con los Faraones y Césares de este mundo, no es la nuestra. Somos propiedad de Dios, y no podemos disponer de nosotros mismos, nuestros hijos, nuestras iglesias, y nuestras escuelas de acuerdo con nuestra palabra, sino que debemos mantener todas las cosas por completo bajo Su palabra. Él es el Señor. Él declara, 'Yo soy el SEÑOR, y no hay ningún otro, fuera de mí no hay Dios. Yo te ceñiré, aunque no me has conocido' (Isaías 45:5). Dios nos ha ceñido o armado antes que lo conociéramos, y Él nos ciñe para estar de pie en Su Nombre contra todos los enemigos de Su Reino.
   El enemigo que enfrentamos es el más antiguo y el enemigo básico de Dios y Su pueblo. Es el humanismo, la adoración de la criatura, del hombre. El primer manifiesto humanista fue emitido en el Jardín del Edén por el tentador. Su afirmación es que cada hombre debe ser su propio dios, sabiendo o determinando por sí mismo lo que constituye el bien y el mal (Génesis 3:5). La guerra del humanismo contra Dios es la más antigua y la más central de todas las guerras, pero la menos reconocida. Si conocemos al Señor, sabemos quienes son Sus enemigos.
   La palabra de Dios a Sus enemigos sigue siendo la misma: '¡Deja ir a mi pueblo!"

"LET MY PEOPLE GO!"

   "An ancient antichrist, Pharaoh, ordered the murder of all the sons of old Israel, seeking thereby the destruction of God's covenant people and his own triumph. He was a tyrant, and the original meaning of tyrant is one who rules without God. The tyrants and antichrists are very much with us now: they rule in the state house and White House, in the courts, and on the school boards, but more subtly than old Pharaoh. But again the goal is the destruction of God's covenant children, this time by forcing them into humanistic schools, or by imposing humanistic, statist controls over schools and children which belong to the Lord.
    And again the word of the Lord comes through His faithful servants to the tyrants of our time: 'Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go!' (Ex. 5:1). It is never easy to serve the Lord, but it is much harder not to, for those who refuse to obey His voice are under the plagues of Egypt. 'Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues' (Rev. 18:4).
   Because we are not our own, but have been bought with the price of Christ blood (I Cor. 6:19f), the choice as to whether or not we will work out a bargain or compromise with the Pharaohs and Caesars of this world is not our own. We are God's property, and we cannot dispose of ourselves, our children, our churches, and our schools according to our word but must keep all things entirely under His word. He is the Lord. He declares, 'I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou has not known me' (Isa. 45:5). God has girded or armed us before we knew Him, and He girds us to stand in His Name against all enemies of His Kingdom.
   The enemy we face is the oldest and the basic enemy of God and His people. It is humanism, the worship of the creature,of man. The first humanistic manifesto was issued in the Garden of Eden by the tempter. Its affirmation is that every man must be his own god, knowing or determining for himself what constitutes good and evil (Gen. 3:5). Humanism's war against God is the oldest and most central of all wars, but the least recognized. If we know the Lord, we know who His enemies are.
   God's word to His enemies remains the same: 'Let my people go!"
