En el Nombre de Cristo (English)

   "Los Cristianos a menudo no nos damos cuenta del profundo significado del nombre de Cristo en todo lo que hacemos. Toda nuestra vida debe ser caracterizada por vivir a través de Su nombre. 

Estamos llamados a hacer todo en Su nombre.

   En el Nuevo Testamento se nos manda a orar en Su nombre (Juan 16:26), reúnirse en Su nombre (Mateo 18:20), echar fuera demonios en Su nombre (Marcos 9:38), milagros en Su nombre ( Marcos 9:39) y predicar la remisión de los pecados en Su nombre (Lucas 24:47) ... 

Necesitamos fe para vivir en nombre de Cristo. 

¿Estás empezando a entender el significado de por qué el nombre de Cristo es repetido tan frecuencentemente? Sin él no podemos hacer nada. Para venir en Su nombre es venir en Su poder. Su autorización y en Su autoridad. Y se necesita fe para hacer eso. Lo alentador es que Dios provee, incluso la fe para ser capaz de venir en Su nombre ... 

Necesitamos el fortalecimiento diario del Espíritu.

   Pero esto significa que necesitamos el Espíritu Santo con el fin de hacer todo en nombre de Cristo. Nuestro orgullo nos mantiene independientes y hace que Dios nos resista (Santiago 4:6; 1 Pedro 5:5). Sólo el Espíritu puede romper la resistencia de nuestra voluntad y nos lleve al lugar donde hacemos todo para la gloria de Dios (1 Cor 10: 31) y en el nombre de Cristo (Colosenses 3:17). Necesitamos el Espíritu porque el Padre nos ha mandado a 'caminar en el Espíritu' (Gal. 5:16) en todo lo que hacemos. Él nos ha llamado a 'cantar en el Espíritu' (1 Cor. 14:15), a 'adorar ... en el Espíritu' (Fil. 3:3) y a 'regocijarse en el Espíritu Santo' (1 Tes. 1:6; Rom 14:17). Debemos 'orar en el Espíritu' (Judas 20;. Ef 6:18) ya que no sabemos lo que debemos orar como conviene (Ro. 8:26). También estamos llamados a 'amar en el Espíritu' (Col.1: 18), ser 'guiados por el Espíritu' (Mat.4:1; Romanos 8:14; Gal 5:18). ser 'movidos por el Espíritu' (Lucas 2:27), ser 'obligados por el Espíritu' (Hechos 20:22 NVI) y tener nuestra 'mente controlada por el Espíritu' (Rom. 8:6). Cada parte de nuestra existencia debe ser controlada por el Espíritu (Romanos 8:6,9) para que podamos 'vivir en el Espíritu' (Gálatas 5:25; Rom 8:13 )..."

In Christ´s Name

   "Christians frequently fail to realize the profound significance of Christ's name in all that we do. Our whole life must be characterized by living through His name.

We are called to do everything in His name.

   In the New  Testament we are commanded to pray in His name (John 16:26), gather in His name (Matt. 18:20), cast out demons in His name (Mark 9:38), work miracles in His name (Mark 9:39) and preach remission of sins in His name (Luke 24:47)...

We need faith to live in Christ´s name.

Are you beginning to catch the significance of why Christ's name is repeated so frequently? Without it we can do nothing. To come in His name is to come in His power. His authorization and in His authority. And it takes faith to do that. What is encouraging is that God provides even the faith to be able to come in His name...

We need the daily empowering of the Spirit.

   But this means that we need the Holy Spirit in order to do everything in Christ's name. Our pride keep us independent and makes God resist us (James 4:6; 1 Pet. 5:5). Only the Spirit can break down the resistance of our will and bring us to the place where we do everything to God´s glory (1 Cor. 10: 31) and in the name of Christ (Col. 3:17). We need the Spirit because the Father has commanded us to 'walk in the Spirit' (Gal. 5:16) in everything we do. He has called us to 'sing in the Spirit' (1 Cor. 14:15), to 'worship...in the Spirit' (Phil. 3:3)and to 'rejoice in the Holy Spirit' (1 Thes. 1:6; Rom 14:17). We must 'pray in the Spirit' (Jude 20; Eph. 6:18) since we do not know what we should pray for as we ought (Rom. 8:26). We are also called to 'love in the Spirit' (Col.1:18), be 'led by the  Spirit' (Matt.4:1; Rom. 8:14; Gal. 5:18). be 'moved by the Spirit' (Luke 2:27), be 'compelled by the Spirit' (Acts 20:22 NIV) and to have our 'mind controlled by the Spirit' (Rom. 8:6). Every part of our existence should be controlled by the Spirit (Rom. 8:6,9) so that we might 'live in the Spirit' (Gal. 5:25; Rom. 8:13)..."
