1. El Favor
a. Entre Otras Mujeres
(1). Su propósito en la vida es impresionar a otras mujeres de buen gusto, cultura, riqueza e inteligencia que son sus iguales, o incluso superiores.
(2). Estas mujeres son esclavas de la preocupación, la frustración, los celos, la envidia y la amargura.
b. Entre los Hombres
(1). Algunas viven para ser reconocidas por su liberación e igualdad con los hombres.
(2). Algunas viven para ser sexualmente estimulantes para los hombres.
c. Sin embargo el Favor es Engañoso
(1). Entre las mujeres. Si tú vives para su favor, ellas te van a odiar o ver a través de ti.
(2). Entre los hombres. Vive para ellos y te usarán, manipularán y aprovecharán de ti.
2. La Belleza, es decir, la Juventud Perpetua e Inmutable
La belleza es buena y dada por Dios, pero se vuelve fea cuando se vive en idolatría.
Nada es más trágico que una mujer que se niega a admitir a sí misma que está envejeciendo.
La belleza es vana, es decir, que se desvanece. Y la mujer que vive para ella será una esclava al miedo y al egocentrismo. Hay pocas cosas más feas que una mujer mayor tratando de verse como lo hizo cuando era una mujer muy joven, a través de los cosméticos y la cirugía.
3. Dios, Temerlo y Agradarle
Vivir para el favor o la belleza es ser mujer del hombre, y eso es esclavitud. Vivir para Dios es ser la mujer de Dios, y esa es la verdadera libertad.
Una mujer que teme al Señor es la mujer más bella del mundo. Ese temor la hace única y atractiva a los ojos cristianos. Sin este temor santo, todas sus otras cualidades son pervertidas y deformes.
B. ¿A QUÉ SE PARECE ESTE TEMOR DE JEHOVÁ EN LAS MUJERES?
1. La Centralidad del Temor de Dios en la Vida Cristiana: el Temor de Jehová es lo Principal que Dios Requiere de Su Pueblo
El fin de todo discurso oído es este: Teme a Dios, y guarda sus mandamientos; porque esto es el todo del hombre, Eclesiastés 12:13
El principio de la sabiduría es el temor de Jehová; Los insensatos desprecian la sabiduría y la enseñanza, Proverbios 1:7.
El temor de Jehová es el alma de la piedad_Y Abraham respondió: Porque dije para mí: Ciertamente no hay temor de Dios en este lugar., y me matarán por causa de mi mujer, Génesis 20:11 (Ver también Job 1:8, Proverbios 9:10, 1:7, Génesis 20:11, Isaías 11:2,3, Lucas 1:50, 2 Corintios 7:1, Colosenses 3:22, Hechos 9:31.) La Iglesia camina en el temor del Señor, porque el Espíritu de Cristo mora dentro, llena, dirige y autoriza a la iglesia, y porque el Espíritu Santo es el creador de este temor en nuestros corazones, porque Él es el Espíritu de temor de Jehová, Isaías 11:2. El temor del Señor da su impulso a los deberes más prácticos y mundanos_Siervos, obedeced en todo a vuestros amos terrenales... con corazón sincero, temiendo a Dios, Colosenses 3:22. Y el temor del Señor se da cuenta de los niveles más altos de la santificación_Así que, amados, puesto que tenemos tales promesas, limpiémonos de toda contaminación de carne y de espíritu, perfeccionando la santidad en el temor de Dios, 2 Corintios 7:1.

THE WOMAN WHO FEARS THE LORD
A. WHAT DO WOMEN LIVE FOR?
1. Favor
a. Among Other Women
(1). Their purpose in living is to impress other women of fine taste, culture, wealth and intelligence that they are their equals, or even superiors.
(2). These women are slaves to worry, frustration, jealousy, envy and bitterness.
b. Among Men
(1). Some live to be recognized for their liberation and equality with men.
(2). Some live to be sexually stimulating to men.
c. However Favor is Deceitful
(1). Among women. If you live for their favor, they will hate you or see through you.
(2). Among men. Live for them and they will use, manipulate and take advantage of you.
2. Beauty, i.e., Perpetual, Unchanging Youthfulness
Beauty is good and God-given, but it becomes ugliness when it is lived for idolatrously.
Nothing is more tragic than a woman who refuses to admit to herself that she is aging.
Beauty is vain, i.e., it fades And the woman who lives for it will be a slave to fear and self-centeredness. There are few things uglier than an older woman trying to look as she did when she was a very young woman, by means of cosmetics and surgery.
3. God, to Fear and Please Him
To live for favor or beauty is to be man's woman, and that is slavery. To live for God is to be God's woman, and that is true freedom.
A woman who fears the Lord is the most beautiful woman in the world. This fear makes her unique and attractive to Christian eyes. Without this godly fear, all of her other qualities are perverted and misshapen.
B. WHAT DOES THIS FEAR OF THE LORD IN WOMEN LOOK LIKE?
1. The Centrality of the Fear of God in the Christian Life: the Fear of the Lord is the Principal Thing God Requires of His People
The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person, Ecclesiastes 12:13
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction, Proverbs 1:7.
The fear of the Lord is the soul of godliness_And Abraham said, "Because I thought, surely there is no fear of God in this place; and they will kill me because of my wife, Genesis 20:11. (See also Job 1:8, Proverbs 9:10, 1:7, Genesis 20:11, Isaiah 11:2,3, Luke 1:50, II Corinthians 7:1, Colossians 3:22, Acts 9:31.) The church walks in the fear of the Lord because the Spirit of Christ indwells, fills, directs and empowers the church; and because the Holy Spirit is the creator of this fear in our hearts for He is The Spirit of the fear of the Lord, Isaiah 11:2. The fear of the Lord gives the most practical and mundane of duties their impetus_Slaves, in all things obey those who are your masters on earth... with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord, Colossians 3:22. And the fear of the Lord realizes the highest reaches of sanctification_Therefore, Having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God, II Corinthians 7:1.
I call this highest duty, because it is not only a duty itself, but, as it were, it is the salt that seasons every duty. For there is no duty performed by us that can by any means be accepted of God, if it be not seasoned with godly fear.- John Bunyan, THE FEAR OF GOD
